Minimum Stays
2 night minimum stay applies to all dates*
7 night minimum stay applies to:
20th December 2020 - 5th January 2021
When there are gaps between bookings that fall below this minimum period we will accept shorter minimum stays.

*Vos Lane Apartment during certain dates (non-Peak) can be booked for 1 night

We rent cottages, properties and apartments medium term during our low season and can offer special rates for extended stays on all our accommodation so please get in contact.

If you are enquiring for dates not shown on these tables then please contact us directly or visit our online bookings. We will always try our best to make sure the rates above are correct however the odd error can slip through and the rates quoted directly via email are valid.

Please note we only advertise rates and availability for a year plus complete season.

Promotions and Specials
Any specials will be detailed within our promotions page and within the online bookings facility. Please be aware that our rates are very competitive for what you are booking and these and any promotions advertised are the best discounts we can offer to all direct enquiries.

 

Useful Information

Check-ins
...are from 14:00 to 17:30 weekdays and 14:00 to 15:00 weekends/public holidays. We do require to take photo-copy of the ID or passport of the main guest staying upon arrival and to complete a registration form.

We can arrange an airport taxis service to bring you directly to our reception; please let us know your arrival flight details.

Late Check-ins /airport taxis service
...we recommend using our airport taxis service which will take you directly to your property.

If you are planning to use a hire car we advise getting the vehicle delivered to your property the following day.

Please come to reception the following day for us to say hello and take photo-copy of your ID or passport and complete our registration.

Late Check-ins /own transport
...if you do not intend to book our airport taxis service you will be charged a late check-in fee of R200 per arrival time for staff to meet you at our reception for a special late check-in from 17:30 weekdays and 15:00 weekend/public holidays. Please let us know your approximate arrival times when booking and if your times change.

For all arrivals after 17:30 weekdays and 15:00 weekends & public holidays please call 072 457 4387 half an hour before you arrive in the village and we will meet you at 40 Napier Street. This does need to be arranged in advance.

Early check-ins
...we will try to accommodate you after 12:00 if the property is empty the night before and has been fully serviced ready for check-in but unless you have booked the night before this is not guaranteed. We will only know the day prior to your arrival if you can have an early check-in. We are happy to store your luggage prior to our normal 14:00 check-in; unfortunately we do not have washing facilities available in our reception.

Check-outs
...are up to 10:00. If you intend to leave early, before reception is open, then please settle your account the day before and you can drop keys through the reception post-box.

Late check-outs
...can be arranged if the property is available and only with prior notice. An additional fee is applicable; up to 16:00 high season R700 and low season R500, after 16:00 full daily rate applies. Not available during COVID-19 crisis.

Check-in and check-out
...times are at the discretion of management only.

 

Booking Policy

All our rates are quoted in South African Rand and are inclusive of 15% V.A.T. and Tourism Tax.
We accept credit cards - Visa & Mastercard + Union Pay
We accept ZA Rand cash and national EFT in ZA Rand
International transfers will incurr bank fees which will be for the guest account; Debit Card refund likewise

Secure your reservation:
All guests will receive a booking form at time of booking; you are required to complete, sign and return, within 24 hours.
50% 1st Rental Deposit is due at time of booking if more than 30 days prior arrival date
50% 2nd Rental Deposit is due 30 days+ prior to arrival
100% Rental Deposit is due if less than 30 days prior to arrival date

Make payments:
You will receive our 3D secure payment link, please make payment immediately. If you do not receive this email link please get in contact and we will resend.

If you are booking via a 3rd party site, which does not use our 3D secure payment gateway, we will still send you this link unless the agent is collecting your deposit directly. Please read 3rd party fine print carefully for payment details.

Please make payment when you receive this payment link; it will expire so if payment is delayed let us know so can resend a new link. Your booking will be released if payment is not received within 48hrs.

If your bank does not use this secure payment link protocol then please let us know and we will send you a credit card authorization form. This manual process requires the credit card holder of the main guest staying and to have this card present upon check-in. We are also legally required by Visa & Master-card to take a signed bank imprint of the card or the same total amount. This is a pre-requisite of all manual transactions where we have to keep this imprint voucher for six months. This voucher is not banked and is distroyed after six months. 

The separate refundable Property Security Deposit is 7 days prior to check-in and must be paid by credit card by the main guest name and staying in the property. We do not accept cash or EFT's for this deposit and the card-holder must have a valid I.D. This deposit with be released by our bank account within 7 working days of check-out.

Check-in:
All guest passports or SA I.D.'s need to be emailed in advance of arrival date, the main named guest will need complete a registration form.

 

Cancellation Policy 

No shows or premature departure forfeit 100%
Cancel or amend 0-30 days prior to arrival* forfeit 100%
Cancel 31+ days prior to arrival, credit card & SA EFT** forfeit R300 admin fee

In the event of a cancellation or amendment management may consider refunds where those days can be re-booked after deducting any costs incurred with respect to the re-booking and preparation of the residence.

We do recommend that you take out your own personal travel insurance to cover any potential loss due to unforeseen circumstances.

**International EFT's will be paid back at the ZAR amount we received minus admin. fee

Temporary Booking Policy COVID-19 

During this crisis we have introduced flexible terms so you have one less worry. No one knows when restrictions will be lifted so we will be monitoring the situation and updating below terms when required. While specific South African travel restrictions are in place, relating to intra-province, inter-province and international borders the flexible payment terms below apply. When and as specific restrictions are lifted our standard terms apply; should restrictions be eninforced again, then of course our flexible terms apply giving you peace of mind.

Secure your reservation for bookings from 17th April to 30th August 2020:
All guests will receive a booking form at time of booking; you are required to complete, sign and return, within 24 hours.
100% Rental Deposit is due 7 days+ prior to arrival date

Temporary Deposit Payment Policy COVID-19  

When government confirms borders are re-open we will email you and, if not paying via EFT, will send you separate 3D Secure payment link(s).   

International Borders
During the COVID-19 crisis international guests (booking from abroad) only need to pay deposits when South African borders re-open. Should the need arise, where local guests want to book and international guests are provisionally holding a property with no deposit paid, then international guests will be given the choice to pay deposits due or release their provisional booking. International guests can still choose to pay deposits as per the standard deposit policy to benefit from existing exchange rates. No cancellation fees are applicable until a deposit is paid.

Local & Provincial Borders
During the COVID-19 crisis local leisure guests (living in South Africa) only need to pay deposits when government re-open leisure travel for inter-province and intra-province respectively. At time of booking important to detail which province guests are residing in. Bookings will be released if deposits not paid. Standard deposit policy applies to local business travellers and essential works during current government restrictions. No cancellation fees are applicable until a deposit is paid.

Cancel or amend 0-7 days prior to arrival forfeit 100%*

Bookings from 1st December 2020 onwards pending update:
No shows or premature departure forfeit 100%
Cancel or amend 0-30 days prior to arrival forfeit 100%*
Cancel 31+ days prior to arrival, credit card & SA EFT forfeit R300 admin fee

 

*For cancellations prior to arrival and for all deposits paid, excluding no-shows and early departures:

• Management will consider refunds where those days can be re-booked after deducting any costs and differences incurred with respect to  the re-booking

• Guests can postpone their 2020 stay and re-book within a 18-month window up to 19th December 2021, confirming new dates at a later stage if required

• New dates will mean revised rates, due to year & season changes plus property availability

• Guests can re-book again should restrictions still be in place for revised dates

• Guests will receive a pro-forma invoice reflecting credit for any paid deposits

• Property Security Deposits will be refunded if paid in advance

• International bank transfers and Debit Cards will be refunded at the ZAR amount we receive minus bank fees
